Hi there,
I'm glad you found your way here!
I'm a postdoc in social psychology at Stanford University, working with Prof. Greg Walton.
My research examines how humans, a deeply social species by nature, can end up trapped in spirals of social isolation. Chronic isolation rarely stems from a single moment; instead, my research shows how moments of exclusion can grow into self-reinforcing cycles that repeat themselves and intensify over time. I look at three ways these cycles can begin: being ignored or excluded (ostracism), the effects of digital technologies and social media (e.g., ghosting, phubbing, and social media ostracism), and beliefs about whether social interactions are energizing or draining. By uncovering how these patterns unfold and testing ways to interrupt them, I strive to help people and communities build meaningful, lasting connections.
Thanks for visiting!
If you're curious about my research, don't hesitate to reach out, I'd love to hear from you!
